Our Vision

A family of believers empowering each other to discover the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus and build healthy lives around it.

Our mission

Pursue | Grow | Reach

Pursue

We are a church in pursuit of Jesus and His ways. Seeking Him in worship, prayer, and encounter. To build our lives around the presence of God.

Grow

We aim to meet people where they are and walk with them toward Jesus. We are called by Jesus to make disciples. Our commitment is to equip believers with the tools they need to grow in their faith.

Reach

We are committed to reaching our community and world with the love and good news of Jesus.

Our Values

(From Ephesians 4:1-4)

Humility

We prefer others before ourselves. We actively work to fight for the destiny of our brothers and sisters in Christ before our own.

Gentleness

We aim to communicate, resolve conflicts, and restore relationships in gentleness. This is a fruit of the spirit. We aim for it even when we fall short. As we draw closer to Jesus, we become more gentle.

Patience

We aim to walk towards Jesus together. This means not making people speed up to our pace, but slowing down to go with them at their pace.

Bearing one another in love

We support each other through challenges and celebrate each other’s success. We accept others as they are, recognizing their individual journeys toward becoming more like Jesus.

Eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace

We recognize that we don’t all need to see God the same way. We just need to be on the journey to see God, God’s way. This means we aim to show self-restraint if unity around Jesus is disrupted. We trust God’s leadership in people’s lives before our opinions.

Our Beliefs

Scripture

We believe the Bible (the Old and New Testament) to be the only inspired, infallible Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. (2 Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21)

God

We believe that there is a living, present, and active God who created all things and sustains all things. There is one God who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:14.)

Jesus the Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, the son of God and the second person of the Trinity. We believe in His virgin birth, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.  (I Timothy 3:16; Rom 3:25)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the deity of the Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. Who empowers and serves us with gifts to participate with God in His sanctifying work; continually revealing to us the mysteries of God and His ways. (John 14:16-17; Galatians 3:14 & 5:16-25; Ephesians 1:17)

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe in salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, accomplished by the shedding of His blood at the cross. (John 11:25-26; Hebrews 9:22; Eph 2:8; Galatians 2:21)

Sanctification and Spirit-Filled Living

We believe in the ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and His Spirit, allowing Christ’s character to be fully formed in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is empowered to live a godly life (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, Romans 8:29, 12:1-2, Hebrews 2:11).

Second Coming and Final Judgement

Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time and bring to completion the establishment of His everlasting Kingdom. We believe that the eternal dwelling place of God is on the Earth with us His people.  (Acts 1:8, Rev. 1:7, Dan.7:14, Rev 21:3)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved eternal life and the lost to eternal punishment.  (John 5:28, 29, Rev. 20:15)

Water Baptism

We believe in baptism in water as an outward sign of what God has already done in an individual's life. It is a testimony to all that the person baptized now belongs to Jesus. We baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19.)

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the continual baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation that empowers us to be witnesses of Jesus and live the Christian life. (Acts 2:1-4)

We believe in the present ministry of the Spirit through the five-fold ministries, the gifts of the Spirit, and the fruit of the Spirit.  (Acts 2:4; 10:46; 19:6; Ephesians 4:11; I Corinthians 12:8-11; Galatians 5:22, 23.)

Communion

We believe that communion is a spiritual act where we come into unity with, Jesus, who gave His body and His blood for our sins. We take communion as a commemoration of the death of Jesus. We do so in remembrance and participation with Him until He returns to the Earth. (I Corinthians 11:17-34)

Community & Diversity

We believe that the church should look and sound like Heaven, made up of every language, race, and people. We believe that unity isn't conformity, but the celebration of diversity. A diverse community from every corner of our world joins together with Christ as the center. Our love and unity with one another is where the Gospel of Jesus shines the brightest. (Matthew 5:114-16; Revelation 5:9)

Women in ministry

We believe in and affirm women in leadership and instructional positions. That the Gifts and empowerments for ministering to the body were given to all. (1 Corinthians 12:6; Romans 16:1; 3-4)

Marriage

We believe that Marriage is a sacred covenant. Marriage is a Biblically defined word signifying a union between a man and a woman, and that definition is timeless and cannot be redefined. (Genesis 2:18; Ephesians 5:31)

Christian Hospitality

We believe that God calls us to love, serve, and support every human in our path regardless of who they are or how they live. Whatever we have is God's, and is therefore also our neighbors, because they belong to Him and are made in His image. (Luke 10:25-37)
