Our Values

In February 2004 Grace Covenant Church dedicated its new building. During that service the congregation dedicated themselves to the mission, values, and distinctives of our local church. These values are expressed in twelve statements that reflect our common convictions concerning faith and practice that bind us together. The following values are an expanded and more complete description of what it means to be part of the Grace Covenant family.

1. Jesus Christ
   • We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and there is salvation in no other name.
   • We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus is the center of our faith.
2. The Bible
   • We believe the 66 books of the Bible are infallible and inerrant.
   • We are dedicated to the Bibles orthodox* and historical interpretation.
3. The Kingdom of God
   • We understand our fellowship only has value to the degree that it establishes the Kingdom of God.
   • We understand that we do not exist for our own aggrandizement. We are committed to the training and sending of leaders.
4. Passionate Spirituality
   • We are committed to a dynamic and passionate expression of worship, prayer, and ministry.
   • We are committed to a culturally relevant expression of music, architecture, and arts.
5. Family Life
   • We are committed to promoting healthy family lives.
   • We believe our corporate life should not negatively effect family life.
6. Governance
   • We believe a plurality of eldership should lead and govern the church.
   • We believe the congregation should affirm and confirm the selection of elders.
7. Multi-Ethnic
   • We believe our assembly should reflect here on earth the realities of heaven.
   • We dedicate ourselves to cultivating an environment that facilitates culturally diverse expressions of our faith.
8. Social Justice
   • We are committed to advocating for the unborn, oppressed, and unfortunate.
   • We desire to be a voice for the oppressed in our church and culture.
9. Accountability
   • We value regular Christian fellowship and meaningful interaction.
   • We are committed to submitting to authentic apostolic covering.
10. Excellence
    • We dedicate ourselves to excellence in all we do.
11. World Missions
    • We are committed to investing in mission work in foreign lands.
    • We pledge a tithe of our regular revenue to missions both foreign and domestic.
12. Honesty and Authenticity
    • We value honesty and authenticity with God and man.
    • We are committed to maintaining a community free from gossip.
